Tony Pulis has confirmed that Stoke City will 'look after' Mamady Sidibe even if he has suffered a long-term knee injury.
The Mali international had been winning his battle following a lengthy spell on the sidelines when he damaged his knee on Wednesday in a reserve-team clash.
Sidibe has already spent the past 14 months on the treatment table after suffering two Achilles tendon injuries last season.
The 31-year-old could now miss the remainder of the campaign if scans on Thursday confirm he suffered ligament damage.
Sidibe is out of contract next summer, however, Pulis values his services to the club and insists the Potters will stand by their man.

"If it is a long-term injury, as it would appear to be, he doesn't have to worry, even though his contract is up at the end of the season," Pulis told the club's
official website.
"We'll look after him and his family. If it takes another 18 months to get fit, if it takes another two years, this football club will stand by him.
"We did that for Rory Delap when he suffered a double break of the leg while on loan with us, yet we still signed him even though he was out for eight months. We will do the same for Mama because he has been a fantastic servant for this football club.
"There was still a lot of blood there, so he'll have another scan (on Thursday) which will hopefully give us a clearer indication of what the damage is.
"He was very down and disappointed when the Achilles tendon injury reoccurred earlier this year, so he will be doubly disappointed after this setback."
