Goalkeeper desperate for first team action

Tottenham Hotspur keeper Heurelho Gomes has admitted he is ready to quit White Hart Lane. The Brazilian shot-stopper, 30, has not started a Premier League game this season after being ousted as Spurs' number one by summer signing Brad Friedel. Gomes, who moved from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven in a £7.8million deal three years ago, has even struggled to earn a place on the bench in recent weeks with Carlo Cudicini preferred as Friedel's deputy. Now he wants to go elsewhere in search of regular action.

Move

Gomes said: "I will probably go back to Brazil on loan for half a year. "I'll then come back to Europe to join another club."
