Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is less concerned when Andre Santos is in possession after another questionable defensive performance from the full-back against Marseille.
The Brazilian has already scored twice in just eight appearances for his new club following a £6.8million summer arrival from Fenerbahce, with the most recent goal coming in the Premier League victory over Chelsea.
But his lack of defensive responsibility and positional awareness were evident at Stamford Bridge and were again exposed against Marseille in the UEFA Champions League, when Alex Song was repeatedly forced to cover.
With Kieran Gibbs still sidelined with a stomach muscle injury, Santos is likely to remain in Wenger's starting XI for this weekend's match against West Brom at Emirates Stadium.
And the Arsenal boss will be hoping for improvements, as he is quoted as saying by his club's official website regarding Santos: "I am happy when he has the ball.
"I feel personally, he is much better defensively than many people think.
"He is getting stronger in every game. He is a very intelligent boy who learns very quickly and obviously he has to adapt to the pace of the English game.
"That is not easy, to play game after game."
