Catania forward hopes to force a move to the San Siro in January

Catania forward Maxi Lopez has expressed his desire to move to AC Milan when the transfer window reopens in January. The Argentine is under contract with the Sicilian side for another three years and Milan would therefore have to make a bid. Lopez has scored two goals in seven Serie A appearances this season and was a substitute against his potential suitors on Saturday. Milan are expected to be without forward Antonio Cassano for at least four months after he had to undergo heart surgery last week. Lopez is understood to be one of their top targets, but the former Barcelona player insists that he has not heard anything.

Rumours

He told Corriere dello Sport: "I am aware of these rumours, but I don't know anything more than that. If the Rossoneri want me then I'm ready. "Milan are a great club, so it's normal that I would like to play for them. But I have to talk to Catania and my agent. We'll see what happens in January. "I am certainly ready for another experience with a top club after Barcelona."
