Nottingham Forest striker Dexter Blackstock was pleased to mark his return to action with a goal after almost 12 months on the sidelines.
Blackstock has been out of action since damaging knee ligaments against Cardiff City in November last year, but returned in a behind-closed-doors friendly with York City on Monday.
The 25-year-old scored in the 2-0 victory and Blackstock was happy to be back on the pitch as he builds towards a first-team return.
He told the club's official website: "It couldn't have gone better really. It was a great feeling to get the 45 minutes behind me.
"The physio said to me that it's 359 days since I was injured. It's been a long journey but all the hard work is worthwhile at times like this.
"It was competitive, which I wanted, and I took a few tackles along the way. It was perfect and to get the goal just topped it off."
Paul Anderson played the first 45 minutes against the Minstermen and scored the opener, while Garath McCleary came through the second half unscathed following a knee injury.
