Paris St Germain sporting director Leonardo has denied offering Carlo Ancelotti the managerial reins and admits the club are keen on Samuel Eto'o.
Former AC Milan and Chelsea boss Ancelotti is currently without a club and has admitted that he is keen to return to the dugout.
It has been suggested that ambitious PSG could offer him a route back into the game, with Leonardo known to have met with the Italian.
Reports that he is to replace current coach Antoine Kombouare are, however, wide of the mark, according to the Ligue 1 giants.
"Ancelotti was in Paris and I met him," Leonardo told L'Equipe.
"I also met Kaka. I meet a lot of people you don't know about.
"Nowadays everyone is calling PSG. It is a new situation, but it is good for the club. My job is to talk to everyone, not about hiring, but to build networks. We have to think about the future.
"I didn't propose anything to Ancelotti. There has been no offer. Antoine Kombouare knows what the situation is. We have had thousands of talks and everything is very clear."
While Leonardo has been quick to play down speculation regarding the manager post at Parc des Princes, he has admitted that PSG are keeping a close eye on Eto'o's situation.
The Cameroonian striker is currently on the books of Anzhi Makhachkala, but he has hinted that he would welcome the opportunity to take in a loan spell at PSG once the Russian season comes to a close.
"Samuel Eto'o has stated that he won't close the door to PSG and we won't close the door either," said Leonardo.
"Could he come to PSG? Why not? We don't know.
"He has joined a new club that has made a big investment. If he came during the Russian winter break there would be an injury risk, so we don't know what will happen."
