Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Nemanja Vidic remain confident they can beat Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
City are currently five points clear of United at the top of the table and remain the only unbeaten side in the top flight this term.
Roberto Mancini's men outlined their title credentials with their stunning 6-1 win over United at Old Trafford last month, but Rooney and Vidic admit there is a long way to go before the championship is decided.
"You never know what's going to happen, but we managed to come back last season," said Rooney.
"There's a lot of games left. They (Manchester City) certainly have the players to be up there towards the end of the season, so we are not taking them lightly.
"But we are just digging in and getting points on the board."
United skipper Vidic insists they are not thinking too much about City and he fully expects their local rivals to hit a sticky patch despite their fine run of form in recent weeks.
"We will think about what they are going to do, but only if they are five points ahead of us with six games to go," noted Vidic.
"You can see what I mean from last year. In the first seven or eight games Chelsea played unbelievably.
"But there was also a time when everything is not going well. It's a ten-month season and you can't always play great football.
"There will be good days and bad days but you have to play as a team.
"For that reason, we aren't thinking about them. We still have to play them and they still have to play the top four or five others as well.
"So, we aren't thinking about them, because that's not the way we are going to win the league."
