Benfica playmaker Pablo Aimar insists that he and his team-mates will fight for a win against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
The Portuguese giants are in Manchester for their UEFA Champions League Group C top-of-the-table clash with the English champions.
Both United and Benfica are on eight points from four matches and a win for either side on matchday five could see them qualify for the last 16.
Aimar is eagerly anticipating what is expected to be an interesting game and underlines his team's objective to bag maximum points against the Red Devils.
"Benfica are becoming a sensation in the Champions League and to win at Old Trafford would be historic," the Argentine told skysports.com.
"We are on a high and this match arrives at just the right moment. We are ready to fight with United.
"In our first test in Lisbon we ended on a bitter note (1-1 draw). I believe that we merited more than just a point that day.
"This season Benfica are playing well in the Champions League. We play comfortably and with much seriousness. We are optimistic and confident of qualifying for the next round.
"United are very complicated rivals in their own home but we are working on some systems that will dispose of that on Tuesday. It is not an easy mission but neither is it impossible.
"Now nobody wants just a point at Old Trafford. Our objective is to get three points."
The 32-year-old added: "The reason for our success at Benfica this year is our mentality. We think that this could be a big season for us.
"We are a compact team who fight during the 90 minutes. This rhyme and effort are basic for the good results."
Aimar, though, understands the threat posed by the United attacking players and said: "Nani is a key player, one who knows Benfica well because he is Portuguese.
"And Rooney is a mega star footballer."
