James Morrison insists that West Brom should have beaten Tottenham at the weekend. The Baggies took the lead at the Hawthorns before Spurs took control and ran out 3-1 winners in the Black Country. But Morrison admits that West Brom's poor finishing cost them dearly in failing to build on the previous week's win over Bolton. "Maybe we should have wrapped this up before Spurs got in front," he said. "It is such a fine line in these games that you have to take your chances. Spurs took theirs and punished us on the counter-attack. "Simon Cox had a chance with a shot and they go up the other end on the counter and score. Chris Brunt had an opening, too, but we can take plenty of positives from that performance. "Judging by that performance we can stay out of trouble. Last week against Bolton we did the same. We've just got to look for consistency now. "As long as we keep doing what we are doing, we will win a few more matches. "It is important to pick up points from the teams around you. QPR away next is one we can look to get a result in. "With the performances we've put in recently, we believe we can achieve a mid-table finish."
