Cameron Jerome believes Stoke's determination clinched their place in the knockout stages of the Europa League on Thursday.
The Potters drew 1-1 with Dynamo Kiev to take them through to the last 32 and set up some potentially mouth-watering ties.
Kenwyne Jones scored the decisive goal with ten minutes to go after the Ukrainian side had led since the 27th minute.
Tony Pulis' side can top the group by avoiding defeat to Besiktas in the final game of the campaign and Jerome is crediting his side's willingness as the reason for their qualification.
He told the club's official website: "It's a phenomenal spirit we have here, and in the end I think that is what has got us this result.
"Things weren't going too well for us in the first half, and being 1-0 down we could have crumbled and started to feel sorry for ourselves - but we didn't do that and we kept believing.
"We knew that we had to keep pushing on at them and hopefully when that chance came along we would have to take it, and that is what Kenwyne did for us.
"It was a tough game, but we knew it would be. They are a top European side and it was a huge game for them, like it was for us. We did the job and now we want to go out in two weeks' time and win the group."
Jerome played the full 90 minutes against Kiev and his two goals have come in Europe this season.
But the Stoke strikers are struggling to have a clear run in the side, with Jerome, Jones, Peter Crouch, Jonathan Walters and Ricardo Fuller all in contention for a place.
Feel at home
Jerome added: "I felt like I played pretty well and I'm certainly feeling at home here.
"It's been stop-start for me with the rotation, but you have to expect that when you have so many games and so many good players in the squad.
"Hopefully, I have shown a little bit of what I am capable of, and now I have to keep working hard on the training field and when my chances come along I have to take them."
