Celtic captain Scott Brown has expressed his delight after signing a new contract to keep him at the club until the summer of 2015.
The midfielder, 26, has been at Parkhead for four-and-a-half years after arriving from Hibernian, and has established himself as a key player.
Brown's deal had been set to expire at the end of the current campaign, but he has now agreed fresh terms to commit his long-term future to the Bhoys.
The new contract also includes the option of a further year and Brown is thrilled to be staying at Celtic.
"I am absolutely delighted to sign this new contract with Celtic and commit my future to the club," he told the club's
official website.
"I'm pleased that this is now all sorted and now I just want to get on with the job in hand."
The Scotland international added: "I'm happy to be back from injury and I now want to just concentrate on the challenges which face us this season domestically and in Europe as we try to bring our fans some success.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon was also understandably overjoyed to secure the services of such an important player.
