Leeds United's on-loan goalkeeper Alex McCarthy believes Simon Grayson's side have a great chance of winning promotion.
The talented shot-stopper joined from Reading following an injury to first-choice Andy Lonergan after he broke a finger against Doncaster.
McCarthy has made five appearances for Leeds, helping the West Yorkshire side to four victories - including three clean sheets.
The 22-year-old, who is expected to feature in United's weekend trip to Watford, has enjoyed his stint with the Elland Road club.
"Leeds have got a great opportunity of getting up this year," McCarthy told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"The main thing is always how you play after Christmas but with their squad and their depth they've got every chance.
"I've loved every minute of my time here. I came to Leeds to play games but I soon appreciated that they've are a special club. I'll always have a soft spot for Leeds and they're the biggest club I've played for.
"We've been on a good run and we've won four out of five matches so it would be nice to continue the good run at Watford. We'll see what happens after that."
