Hull continued their fine form under caretaker manager Nick Barmby with a 1-0 win at bottom club Coventry as he continued to stake a strong claim for the permanent position.
However, the Hull-born boss is refusing to look no further than next week as his side secured a third win in seven days, which lifted them to fifth in the Championship.
Andy Dawson's cross from the left found Corry Evans who rifled in a volley to give the Tigers all three points at the Ricoh Arena.
Coming off the back of home wins against Leicester and Birmingham, Barmby was understandably delighted with his fourth win in six since taking charge.
"It's been a really good week for us," said the 37-year-old, who is still contracted to the club as a player.
"I'm really proud of the players and their work ethic today. To come to a place like this and keep a clean sheet against a side that score in most of their home games and nick one at the other end, I am really pleased."
However, he again refused to be drawn on his long-term future, adding: "All I am bothered about is how the players play and how the players react.
"We got the result we wanted today and we have had a great week but we remain humble, our feet are on the ground and we go again next week."

Meanwhile, Coventry boss Andy Thorn was left cursing his side's luck as they created few meaningful chances but were unlucky not to go in front in the first half when Richard Wood's header hit the post.
For all their effort in the second half the Sky Blues were unable to find a way through and have now gone 10 matches without a win.
And Thorn said: "I thought we looked really edgy in the first half. We had some good opportunities to take the lead, a great chance when we have hit the post but when things don't go for you they won't go for you.
"The defining moment is when they loft the ball into our box, we don't deal with it and the ball ends up in the back of our net.
"That's hard to take considering we kept going and gave everything and created opportunities but when your luck is not in it's not there and it just wouldn't fall for us."
