Skysports.com understands Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield are weighing up moves for Preston forward Iain Hume.
Hume has been one of Preston's shining lights in a disappointing season to date, netting six goals for the Lilywhites.
A number of clubs are believed to have sounded out moves for Hume last summer, but Preston managed to keep hold of the former Barnsley man.
Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield are both thought to be keen on bolstering their attacking options in the New Year and are keeping tabs on Hume's situation.
Preston would be reluctant to lose the Canada international, but could find it hard to resist an attractive offer for the 28-year-old.
