McCombe will wait and see

Jamie McCombe admits he has not yet considered remaining at Preston North End beyond his initial one-month loan deal.

The centre-half is on loan with North End from fellow League One club Huddersfield until January 2 and has played in all four games since joining Phil Brown's side. McCombe has had few opportunities to impress with the Terriers this season but while he acknowledges that he is enjoying his loan spell, he insists he remains committed to his parent club. "I have one month, I'm here until January 2, but I'm still a Huddersfield player who's on-loan with Preston," he told the Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express. "Nothing's been said about what will happen after, I'm just enjoying playing games and getting my fitness up. "[Extending the deal] is not something that's been talked about, I just want to do the right thing for my career and for my family."
