Manchester United star Tom Cleverley is refusing to set himself any timescale for his return to action from injury.
Cleverley is currently recovering from an ankle injury that has sidelined him since October.
The classy midfielder began the season in superb form for United before picking up an ankle injury against Bolton in September which kept him out for several weeks.
Cleverley then damaged his ankle ligaments in only his second game back from the original ankle injury in the win over Everton in October.
The 22-year-old is desperate to get back in action for United, but he is not setting himself any target for when he will be available again for Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
"The injury is not bad, I am just working hard with the physios and doing what they tell me at the minute," Cleverley told skysports.com at a charity auction for The Christie Charity.
"I am in the gym just working hard really to try and get back fit."
Asked if he could be back for the busy festive period, Cleverley added: "I am not too sure about that. We are not looking to put any time limits or set targets just yet.
"I am just working hard looking after the injury and I am sure we will set targets in a couple of weeks."
Cleverley admits he has been frustrated by the ankle injury with the midfielder establishing himself as a regular in the starting XI this term with a number of impressive performances.
He continued: "Yeah, definitely. It's always frustrating for a footballer to get injured, but when you are in good form and when your team is winning it is doubly frustrating.
"It has been a bit of tearing my hair out stage for me as I just want to be playing all the time."
