Pep Guardiola revealed the secret of Barcelona's success after winning the FIFA Club World Cup with a 4-0 demolition of Brazilian side Santos.
The brilliant Lionel Messi scored two of the goals, with Cesc Fabregas and Xavi adding the others as the European champions swept the South Americans aside with ease.
"We've got a core of very talented players," Guardiola revealed to FIFA's official website. "And the secret of our success is simple.
"We study our opponents closely, use space well, keep control of the ball and move it around very quickly.
"My players are real competitors and I'm sure they're going to want to keep on going and win more trophies.
"I'm delighted with the team's performance and especially with the standard of our play in the first half.
"Winning the Champions League was no mean achievement and this is the perfect way to round the whole process off."
Santos boss Muricy Ramalho could only look on in awe as his talented young team were taken apart by the side regarded by many as the best club side ever.
And although he was gracious in defeat, Ramalho vowed his boys will learn from the loss and come back even stronger.
He said: "I don't think there's any team out there today that can beat Barcelona, though maybe someone will find the secret in the future.
"They've changed the whole concept of attacking by playing without a genuine striker.
"We shouldn't start doubting ourselves just because we've lost to Barcelona. There's no shame in that.
"The only thing we've got to do now is keep on working hard so we can come back next year and have another go at beating Barcelona or another side."
