Bristol City goalkeeper David James has no intention of hanging up his gloves at the end of the season following his superb display against Nottingham Forest.
The former England man, who will turn 42 next summer, produced two excellent saves to deny Marcus Tudgay in Saturday's goalless draw at Ashton Gate.
James is out of contract with the Robins at the end of the season but is not yet considering retirement, insisting he is focused on retaining his spot in Derek McInnes' first team.
"I look at contracts as an opportunity to play on, but I also look at each game as a chance to keep myself in the team," he said.
"The new manager has created competition in every position and none of us can afford to take our places for granted.
"It's not an age thing. I don't think in terms of only having a couple of years left in me.
"I just keep working hard and if I keep doing things right, I shall carry on playing."
