Spaniard can't see City shaking off neighbours any time soon

David Silva feels that Manchester United will be pushing Manchester City all the way for the title this season. The diminutive Spaniard has been one of the leading figures for City this season, which has seen them lead the Premier League ahead of Christmas. United, though, remain just two points adrift of City, and Silva fully expects their Cottonopolis neighbours to be right with them all season. "We are aware that Manchester United are going to be pushing us all the way but we have to focus on ourselves," he said. "You might say United have been disappointing but they are right there on our heels and you can't knock that. "We know they are going to be right behind us so we have to make sure there are no slip-ups and try to win every game. "We have to keep playing at the same level as we have been. To keep the gap as it is we have to keep winning our games." City came through a huge test on Sunday as they beat Arsenal 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium, which Silva hailed as a massive three points. "That was a must-win game. We needed a confidence-boosting win after the defeat at Chelsea and I think this will lift us," he said. Silva also hailed the work being done by Roberto Mancini, who has now been in charge for two years. "I think Roberto is doing a great job. He got us into the Champions League for this season and the fact we are top speaks for itself," he said. "We also won the FA Cup last year and it would be nice to repeat that - but the Premier League title is the big target."
