Rossoneri to discuss Tevez deal after Christmas

AC Milan will meet again with Manchester City after Christmas to discuss the transfer of striker Carlos Tevez, according to Italian reports. The Rossoneri are believed to have wanted to sign Tevez on loan in January until the end of the Serie A season with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer. City have made it clear they are only interested in a straight transfer although the club are refusing to confirm how the discussions have progressed.

Meeting

Milan's sporting director Ariedo Braida was present at the meeting in London while Blues chief executive John MacBeath led the City delegation and was accompanied by football administration officer Brian Marwood. Tevez is currently at home in Argentina and has been pictured playing golf on a number of occasions. He has not played for the Blues since falling out with manager Roberto Mancini after refusing to warm up in their UEFA Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich in September. Tevez was subsequently fined for his conduct but then left Manchester and has not returned to the north of England.
