Everton's Diniyar Bilyaletdinov wants to leave next month to improve his chances of making the Russia squad for Euro 2012.

Russia midfielder is keen for first-team football ahead of Euros

Everton midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has indicated he would be prepared to leave the club next month to improve his chances of making the Russia squad for Euro 2012. The 26-year-old joined the Premier League club in August 2009 for a fee of around £9million from Lokomotiv Moscow. His first season in England was relatively successful as he netted seven goals, and earned the club's goal of the year award for his strike against Manchester United.

Substitute

However, this term the Russia international has made just 11 appearances which have mostly been as a substitute. But with the European Championship in mind next summer, Bilyaletdinov wants regular first-team football to ensure he is selected to represent his country. "If the winter transfer window closes and I still find myself sitting on the Everton bench, I could not justify it," he told The Sun.
