Swindon Town have rejected a bid of £500,000 for winger Matt Ritchie from Bournemouth.

Bournemouth's offer not enough for Swindon

Swindon Town have rejected a bid of £500,000 for winger Matt Ritchie from Bournemouth. Cherries director Tom Mitchell made the offer over the Christmas period but the League One outfit revealed on Boxing Day they have failed in their attempt to sign the 22-year-old when the transfer window opens in January. "We can exclusively reveal that a bid of £500,000 for Swindon Town winger Matt Ritchie was rejected by the Robins," reads a statement on the Cherries' official website. "AFC Bournemouth director Tom Mitchell tabled the bid over the Christmas period, but revealed to the official website that the approach had been rebuffed. "This news constitutes the most recent update on the Robin's winger, who has been subject to interest from AFC Bournemouth since a number of preview bids were rejected before the loan window shut this season on November 24th."
