French side planning bid for Peter Utaka

Former Liverpool player Christian Poulsen has revealed that he is enjoying a new lease of life at Ligue 1 newcomers Evian TG. The 31-year-old former Denmark international signed a one-year contract with the French side during the summer after failing to hold down a regular place at Anfield. But Poulsen now feels that he is going in the right direction at the Savoyard club, telling Ekstra Bladet: "I have now started a fresh at a small club who are newcomers to Ligue 1 and I am hoping to find the desire again and I do feel that it's going in the right direction so far. "I have noticed that I am starting to gain more and more flair in my game and I am doing fine." Meanwhile, the French side are reportedly planning a bid for OB Odense striker Peter Utaka in the January transfer window. The Nigerian, who finished as the top scorer in the Danish Championship with 18 goals last season, is out of contract at the end of the campaign and would regarded as an ideal signing for Bernard Casoni's side.
