William Gallas was delighted to help Tottenham record their sixth Premier League clean-sheet of the season at Norwich on Tuesday night.
Spurs have kept the opposition out six times in 17 matches this term, conceding just 11 goals since their opening two defeats against the Manchester clubs.
Their impressive defence has helped Harry Redknapp's men storm to third in the table, having been beaten just once since their opening two losses.
Tuesday's commanding 2-0 victory at Carrow Road left Spurs only seven points behind leaders City and United and centre-back Gallas was pleased with the way he and his fellow defenders handled the Canaries.
"We played very well in defence, concentrated on what we had to do and kept the strikers quiet," he told the club's official website.
"That is real satisfaction for the defenders, when you don't concede a goal. That's very good for us.
"With my experience, I'm always wary about a game like that. Even if you score the first goal, you never know what can happen, so it was important to score the second, stay strong and that's what we did. Everyone was happy."
