Midfielder to stick with Saints until at least 2013

Kevin Moon has been rewarded with a contract extension at St Johnstone, with the club impressed by the progress he has made this term. The midfielder joined the Scottish Premier League outfit over the summer on a short-term deal. He was made aware that he must prove that his injury troubles are behind him before earning an extended stay. Moon has done just that and manager Steve Lomas has moved to tie him down for the foreseeable future. His new contract will take him through to the summer of 2013. Moon, who has made 13 SPL appearances this season, also has the option of a one-year extension should he play enough games. Meanwhile, the Saints have confirmed that goalkeeper Zander Clark will see out the remainder of the campaign at Elgin City after having his loan spell extended.
