Bayern Munich midfielder Daniel Pranjic has revealed he is set to stay at the club until the end of the season but hopes to have more chances to prove himself in the second half of the campaign.
The Croatia international moved to the Allianz Arena from Heerenveen in 2009 and was initially a regular starter for the Bundesliga giants.
He has fallen out of favour though under new Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes, making just one substitute appearance since he took charge in the summer.
The 29-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season and he had initially hoped for a cut-price January move away from the club in order to find first-team football.
However, Pranjic now expects to stay at the Bundesliga outfit until the end of the season but hopes he will be given more first-team opportunities in the coming months.
"I have resigned to stay on at Bayern," he told Sportske Novosti."The authorities have told me they do not want to make changes this winter.
"I am hoping to see the manager handing more chances to prove myself.
"I am to start the mid-season training phase now with the hope I have a fair chance to play regularly in the first-team."
