Everton defender Sylvain Distin hopes his side can build on their recent good form after a 1-0 win at West Brom lifted the club into the top half of the table.
Substitute Victor Anichebe grabbed the winner for Everton with just three minutes remaining and ensured the Merseysiders climbed above their opponents and into ninth place.
The win at the Hawthorns means Everton are now unbeaten in four games and are finally showing signs of recovery after yet another slow start to the season.
French defender Distin - who was named man of the match - thinks it is vital the club build on their recent upturn in form in the coming weeks.
"It's a good run, we have to carry on," he told Sky Sports. "We have to turn the draws into victories and that would be even better."
It was only Everton's fourth clean sheet of the season, but three of those have come in their last five games.
When quizzed on that statistic Distin was quick to deflect the praise on to his team-mates, adding: "It's not only the defence, it's the team.
"If you only expect the back four to defend you are never going to succeed and keep a clean sheet.
"You start from the front and everybody worked hard today and at the end we've got three points and a clean sheet, which is perfect."
Match-winner Anichebe could not hide his relief at grabbing his first Premier League goal for 22 months and hopes his patience in recovering from yet another serious injury will be rewarded.
"I've been waiting patiently since the start of the season, I had a good pre-season but unfortunately I went away with Nigeria and got injured," said the 23-year-old.
"He (manager David Moyes) said, 'Go on, you've worked hard to get back here, just go on and help the team', which is what I did."
