Crystal Palace have boosted their defensive options by signing Mustapha Dumbuya and John Egan on loan in addition to extending Chris Martin's time at Selhurst Park. Dumbuya has joined Palace on a one-month deal from Championship rivals Doncaster Rovers, while Egan arrives on a similar arrangement from Sunderland. Egan has yet to make a first-team appearance for Sunderland, but is eligible for the Eagles' FA Cup third round tie against Derby County on Saturday. Palace boss Dougie Freedman can also call on Dumbuya for that game after he moved to the club to secure first-team football for a few weeks. Dumbuya has made eight appearances for Doncaster this season, but he has not featured for Dean Saunders' side since the end of October. Meanwhile, the Eagles have also extended the loan of Martin by a further month after the forward scored once in eight appearances since joining from Norwich City in November.
