Rovers striker set for talks with Leicester

Sky Sports understands Leicester City have agreed a fee with Doncaster for striker Billy Sharp. Leicester have been chasing Sharp for some time and saw a bid earlier this month rejected by Doncaster. However, Leicester have now come back with an improved offer that has been accepted by Doncaster and Rovers have given the striker permission to hold talks with Leicester. Doncaster have been resigned to losing their star striker with a host of clubs chasing the 25-year-old's signature. The likes of Wigan, West Brom, Stoke, Fulham, Southampton and Hull have all been credited with an interest in Sharp and it remains to be seen if any of them will try and rival Leicester for the player. Sharp's agent, Paul Masterton, has confirmed the player is set to hold talks with Leicester over a possible move to the King Power Stadium in the next couple of days. "Leicester have agreed a fee with Doncaster for Billy," Masterton told Sky Sports. "We have now been given permission to hold talks with Leicester and we will start those in the next 24/48 hours."
