Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has confirmed he is waiting to sign a new contract after agreeing the details of an extension.
Hamsik is currently under contract with the Serie A club until 2015, but that deal is reportedly being extended by a further 12 months.
The Slovakia international has previously been linked with the likes of AC Milan, Chelsea and Manchester City after impressing in recent seasons.
However, Hamsik is happy at Stadio San Paolo and is now merely waiting to finalise the paperwork on his new contract.
Hamsik told Gazzetta dello Sport after the weekend's win over Palermo: "Everything is agreed, all that is missing is the signature."
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has been a regular at Napoli since arriving from Brescia in 2007.
