Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath has confirmed the club have received enquiries regarding striker Patrick Helmes.

Out-of-favour striker the subject of 'several enquiries'

Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath has confirmed the club have received enquiries regarding striker Patrick Helmes. The former Germany international appears surplus to requirements after failing to make the cut for a training camp in Qatar during the Bundesliga's winter break. And Helmes, who only joined Wolfsburg last January under the management of former boss Steve McClaren, could be on the move before the transfer deadline. Magath told kicker-Sportmagazin: "I have had several enquiries for the services of Patrick Helmes. "He is not training with us here (Qatar). As soon as I receive those enquiries, I put them forward to the player and his representatives. There is nothing more to say about that."
