Manager Chris Hughton insists he has not received any approach for Birmingham starlet Nathan Redmond amid speculation linking him with a move away from St Andrew's.
The 17-year-old winger has reportedly caught the eye of Premier League heavyweights such as Manchester City and Liverpool after impressing for the Blues this season.
Hughton has previously made it clear he feels Redmond should stay at the Midlands club to develop further as a player.
And while rumours continue to surround the youngster's future, the manager says no approaches have been made for his signature.
"Could we do without (the speculation)? Yes, but it's normal," Hughton told Birmingham's official website.
"But we have not had any approaches.
"As with any young player like that there's always speculation. But 99 per cent of speculation is simply untrue."
Hughton has no concerns over Redmond getting carried away by the transfer talk, insisting the teenager is well-grounded.
"The only times you can have concerns is when it shows itself to you and I haven't seen anything," he added.
"He's 17 years of age and there isn't a 17-year-old kid anywhere that wouldn't pick up the paper and be happy to see his name mentioned with whomever.
"It's normal, but he is level-headed and we do work with him as much as possible and we also have a squad that keeps his feet on the ground.
"Probably the biggest asset for him and the biggest thing that keeps him well-grounded is that he is that young.
"He knows that he has so much football in front of him and at the moment the thing he is gaining is great experience."
