Swansea City winger David Cotterill has departed the club after the remaining 18 months of his contract were cancelled by mutual consent.
The 24-year-old, who signed at the Liberty Stadium from Sheffield United in January 2010 for a then club record £600,000, is now free to find a new club.
The Wales international notched up 35 appearances for the Swans during his time at the club, scoring four goals.
Cotterill was signed by former boss Paulo Sousa and has not appeared in the Premier League for Brendan Rodgers' side this term.
He featured in the first half of their promotion-winning Championship campaign last season before joining Portsmouth on loan.
Swansea confirmed on their official website: "David Cotterill has parted company with the club by mutual consent.
"Swansea City wish him good luck with his new challenge."
