Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has rejected rumours that he is planning to offload summer signing Cody McDonald during the January transfer window.
McDonald joined the Sky Blues on a three-year contract from Norwich City before the August deadline, but has scored only once in 11 appearances for the Championship's bottom club.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to League Two promotion hopefuls Swindon Town amid suggestions Thorn is preparing to cut his losses on McDonald.
However, Thorn is not intending to part with McDonald this month and is waiting for the forward to recover from a knee injury.
"The only conversation I have had with Cody is about getting himself back from his injury as quick as possible," said Thorn in the Coventry Evening Telegraph.
McDonald has not featured for Coventry since the home defeat by Hull City on 10th December, but is expected to be back in training next week.
