Alex McLeish was full of praise for Robbie Keane as the striker scored twice in the second half to secure victory for Aston Villa against 10-man Wolves.
The Republic of Ireland international bagged his first goals for the club after joining on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy, earning his new team a dramatic 3-2 win over his former club.
Villa's Darren Bent scored his 99th Premier League goal from the penalty spot, but Michael Kightly equalised with a low drive and David Edwards made it 2-1 to the hosts before the break.
However, Keane scored a brace in the second period, helped with the dismissal of Wolves midfielder Karl Henry for kicking out at winger Marc Albrighton, to inflict yet another defeat on Mick McCarthy's side.
"He's just stunning. Absolutely stunning," McLeish, who celebrated his 53rd birthday on Saturday, told Sky Sports. "And how many times has he done that over his career?
"It was wonderful to see his shot going in off the underside of the crossbar. A brilliant shot.
"Robbie's got that nous and that experience as I said when we signed him which young players can look and learn from."
Villa have now collected 11 points from their last five away games and the Scot was pleased with his side's showing after a difficult first half at Molineux.
He said: "I thought the night was going to be ruined but we knew there was still 45 minutes to go.
"That was the key, getting them in at half-time and trying to regroup and showing the character and spirit."
