Olympiakos reported to be in talks

Greek champions Olympiakos are reported to be in advanced talks with Blackburn Rovers over Mauro Formica. The Argentine forward, who joined Rovers last summer, was linked with a move back to his homeland but a bid from Newell's Old Boys was rejected. It is now believed Olympiakos are in talks to land the 23-year-old, who is seemingly keen to seal a move to the Piraeus giants. Formica is thought to be keen on linking up with fellow countryman Arial Ibagaza at the Karaiskakis Stadium. Formica is also understood to have talked over a potential move with his brother Lautaro - who is currently playing in Greece with Asteras Tripolis. Greek sources believe Formica could arrive early next week to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
