Reid return on the cards

Bradford winger Kyel Reid is hoping to make a surprise return to the squad for Saturday's game at Bristol Rovers.

The 24-year-old was expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks when suffering a partial grade two tear to his right hamstring in the Boxing Day win over Crewe Alexandra, but is already back in full training. Manager Phil Parkinson told the club's official website: "He has a chance of being in the squad for the weekend, he's certainly in contention. "It would be obviously great to have him back with us if he was involved because he was a big player for us before he got injured. We'll have to see how he is later this week though." Meanwhile, skipper Simon Ramsden is hoping to get the go ahead to step up his rehabilitation from a broken toe when he visits a specialist on Thursday.
