Bradley Wright-Phillips has signed a new contract with League One leaders Charlton to stay at the club for another year.

Wright-Phillips was Chris Powell's first signing when he was appointed as manager 12 months ago and the 26-year-old will now remain at The Valley until the summer of 2013. "It's good news because I am very happy at the club," Wright-Phillips told Charlton's official club website. "This is one of the happiest times I've had in football. "It feels like I have been at the club for much longer than a year." Wright-Phillips has scored 14 goals for the Addicks so far this season, although his last was in mid-November against Brentford.
