Out-of-favour Doncaster midfielder Mark Wilson has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Wilson made 110 starts along with 47 substitute appearances for Rovers in all competitions after joining the club in November 2006. However, the 32-year-old has not started a game for the Championship strugglers this season and the club have called time on his spell at the Keepmoat Stadium, where his deal was due to expire at the end of the season. "I've had five good years with the club and some really happy times - but now it's time to move on and look to the future," Wilson told Doncaster's official website. Doncaster also confirmed that Wilson is currently having talks with another club. Walsall would appear to be favourites for his signature having utilised his services on loan earlier this season.
