Veteran AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi has decided to stay at the club despite offers from elsewhere.
The 38-year-old's future at Milan has been the subject of speculation due to his lack of first-team opportunities this season, with just one start and three substitute appearances for the Serie A champions.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri has spoken of his desire to the keep the player, who, after much consideration, has decided to stay with the club he has been at since a big-money transfer from Juventus in 2001.
Inzaghi told Milan Channel: "I decided to stay at AC Milan because it was hard to think of leaving this club.
"I have received many offers and I thank all because it is pleasure to be considered important when you are 38 years old.
"I thank in particular Siena, which has done the impossible to get me, I've thought seriously but eventually I didn't make it.
"I couldn't leave without saying goodbye to the fans as I could do in May."
