Three in, one out on deadline day

Serie A side Catania have announced the deadline day signing of three loan players while confirming the departure of Pablo Alvarez to Real Zaragoza. Head coach Vincenzo Montella was keen to add to his squad ahead of the transfer deadline in order to improve his side's current position of 15th in the table. Nigerian striker Osarimen Ebagua has joined from Torino while 25-year-old defender Marco Motta has moved from Juventus, both signing loan deals until the end of the season. Argentine goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo has also joined on-loan from Lazio with an option to make the move permanent in the summer. Meanwhile, 27-year-old defender Alvarez has been allowed to join Spanish La Liga's bottom side Real Zarogoza on-loan until the end of the campaign.
