Hull City loanee Trevor Carson is set to return to Sunderland after not making a first team appearance for the Tigers.
The 23-year-old was brought to the KC Stadium in January as cover for on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone.
Carson provided much needed cover with City's squad suffering a blow in the shot-stopping department as Peter Gulacsi, Adriano Basso and Mark Oxley have all been sidelined with injury.
However, with Gulacsi returning to full fitness and Oxley due to step up his recovery with a reserve-team appearance on Wednesday, Carson will return to his parent club.

And Tigers boss Nick Barmby has expressed his gratitude to the Black Cats for allowing them to loan the services of Carson.
"We've been delighted with Trevor and he has been fantastic for us," he told the club's
official website.
"But Peter is fit again now and will be back with us at the end of the week. That means that Trevor will go back to Sunderland and they have been fantastic with us and we really appreciate it."
Carson joined Sunderland in 2004 and is yet to make his first team bow having spent loan spells with Chesterfield, Lincoln, Brentford and Bury during his eight-year period with the club.
