Fletcher happy to bag point

Plymouth boss Carl Fletcher took plenty of positives from the goalless home draw against Barnet.

Barnet had more opportunities to score, with Clovis Kamdjo hitting the post and Jordan Obita striking the crossbar, and home goalkeeper Jake Cole was called into action on a number of occasions. Both Cole and centre-back Darren Purse made clearances off the line to deny substitute Mark Byrne, while at the other end on-loan Argyle striker Alex MacDonald had an 86th-minute effort cleared off the line by Bees central defender Paul Downing. "We knew it was going to be tough because Barnet have had four wins in their last four league games, so we knew they were going to come here and have a go," said Fletcher. "It was not great conditions, it was windy and the pitch was bobbly. It was a real battle and I thought the lads applied themselves really well and worked hard again. "We really dug in and you need to do those things to get results in football. Jake made a few routine saves, I would expect him to make them. If you are trying to keep clean sheets you need everyone in your team to be pulling their weight. If you get clean sheets you can build on that. "We score lots of late goals, so we know fitness-wise we are there. We always know we will get chances. That's one defeat in five and so we move on, grind away, and work hard for Accrington away on Saturday."
