Leicester City are relieved Danny Drinkwater's foot injury has not proved to be serious and the midfielder could feature at Derby County on Thursday.
Drinkwater suffered the injury in last week's defeat at Watford and, after being forced off at half-time, left the ground on crutches.
He missed Saturday's FA Cup win at Norwich City and there were fears that the January signing from Manchester United could face a long spell on the sidelines.
However, X-rays showed there was no break and the 21-year-old is in contention to feature in the Foxes' short trip to local rivals Derby.
"It is a massive boost for him most of all, not only us and the fans, because he has impressed everyone with his all-round ability since he arrived," said assistant manager Craig Shakespeare in the Leicester Mercury.
"It seemed an innocuous challenge and we didn't think anything of it at the time, so it was strange to see him on crutches.
"Since he had the scan and it came back clear, it was a worry that he couldn't put any weight on it.
"It was really pleasing to have him back in full training yesterday and to see him flying around. It was one where you might have to hold him back a bit.
"We hope there are no ill-effects for the Derby game and he will be part of the squad."
