Former Middlesbrough defender commits to June 2015

Hannover defender Emanuel Pogatetz has signed a new contract which ties him to the club until the summer of 2015. The former Middlesbrough player's previous deal at awd-Arena was set to expire in June 2013. But Hannover were determined to keep hold of first-team regular Pogatetz, who has recently served a suspension but has played in 19 of his club's 22 league games. Hannover general manager Jorg Schmadtke told the official website of the club: "We are delighted to see him stay on. "With all his skills, Emanuel Pogatetz is a player who fits right into our setup here at our club. He is a key player for our first team."
