Andre Villas-Boas insists he will keep searching for answers as Chelsea's problems mount following a 1-0 defeat at West Brom on Saturday.
Gareth McAuley's late winner was enough to consign Chelsea to another defeat on a day that saw them slip three points behind Arsenal in the race for fourth in the Premier League.
And Villas-Boas had few excuses for Chelsea's lacklustre display at The Hawthorns.
"We were very poor in the second half," admitted the Blues boss. "It was not up to Chelsea standards.
"We did extremely well with the same team against Bolton and were extremely bad today so I'm very disappointed.
"West Brom were superior on the day and got what they deserved.
"But we had a couple of decent chances in the first half and if we go 1-0 up that gives us an extra edge, it's a different game and we get a different result."
Difficult job
When asked if he was finding the Chelsea job more difficult than he had imagined, Villas-Boas remained phlegmatic.
"Every job is difficult at this level," he added. "We're just not producing enough good results.
"I'm just going to keep doing my job.
"We've got an FA Cup replay versus Birmingham coming up and we go into another competition hoping to do well. But we need to improve 300%.
"We've shown in the past we can come back from results like this."
