Kieran Gibbs admits that Arsenal require a 'faultless' performance to turn around their tie against AC Milan, but still believes they can come back from the brink of elimination.
The Gunners are trailing 4-0 at the halfway stage of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie, but have been in good form domestically since that miserable night in Italy.
Having hit back from 2-0 down to beat Tottenham 5-2 in a thrilling North London derby, and then come from behind to defeat Liverpool at the weekend, Gibbs says the Gunners are full of confidence.
The left-back is desperate for Arsenal to show Milan what they are capable of at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday and, while he is under no illusions about the size of the task lying ahead, feels there is still a chance.
"The whole team was quite hurt by the first leg. This gives us a great opportunity to get a sense of pride back," he said.
"You don't like to accept getting beaten 4-0 in the Champions League. We are looking to restore that pride overall.
"A defeat like that, and the following one at Sunderland, can knock you a bit. We have shown fantastic mentality to come back in the last couple of games and have created a momentum now and would like to continue that.
"We have to believe otherwise there is no point in being here. If they can beat us 4-0, then why can't we do the same?
"In our last home game, against Spurs, we scored five goals.
"We have to create a faultless performance and get a good balance between attacking and defending."
