Norwich striker Simeon Jackson is enjoying life in the Premier League and is determined to retain his spot in Paul Lambert's side.
The Canaries sit comfortably in 12th place ahead of Sunday's trip to Newcastle, with a 14-point cushion over the drop zone.
Many of the Norwich squad played a major part in their rise from the Championship, including former Rushden and Gillingham striker Jackson.
The 24-year-old has impressed in a run of five starts in City's previous six matches, which comes almost a year after his purple patch helped clinch promotion.
Adjusting
"A run like that would be good right now to be honest," he told
Canaries Player.
"That was great last year, but the Premier League is a totally different beast, but one that we've been adjusting to and I think we've done well, so we'll keep going and pick up as many points as we can.
"I'm enjoying my football, it's good to get in the side and be playing, especially as everyone has been doing well, so I'm enjoying it and hopefully I'll get a few goals.
"When you do get your chance you have to work hard, and try to stay in the team.
"It's the best league in the world with the best players.
"It's a big test but one that we've stepped up to and hopefully now we can see ourselves across the line."
Norwich face another big test against Alan Pardew's sixth-placed side, who suffered a last-gasp 2-1 defeat at Arsenal on Monday.
The Canaries were held to a 1-1 draw by Wigan in their last match and Jackson is hoping for a return to winning ways in front of more than 50,000 fans in the north-east.
Tough
"It's definitely one of the bigger grounds so we're looking forward to that, but we know it's going to be tough and we have to show that we're ready for it," he said.
"We have to go out there and play the way we have done at all the big grounds this season, which is play our way and hopefully we'll get a result.
"Newcastle's aspirations at the start of the season were different to ours, but they've done well.
"Now we're in a position where we need to get as many points as we can between now and the end of the season."
