Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Ashley Williams remains doubtful to face Everton on Saturday, with the defender struggling to shake off an illness.
The centre-half was forced to sit out his first league fixture in almost four years last weekend as he missed the Swans' trip to Fulham.
Having appeared in 166 successive league games, there is a now a chance that he could be absent for back-to-back outings.
The Wales international has been feeling unwell for some time and was fortunate to take to the field in Swansea's impressive victory over Manchester City on 11th March.
He travelled to London for the Fulham game last time out, but was a late withdrawal when it became apparent that he was in no shape to compete.
Rodgers is refusing to rule Williams out of a home date with Everton this weekend, but admits the clock is ticking on the 27-year-old.
"We will have to assess Ash because he has lost a lot of fluid and he has only just started to eat again," the Swans boss told the South Wales Evening Post.
"We will see how he is over the next 48 hours. He was not well before we played Manchester City - he had not eaten before the game, which was incredible really when you consider his level of performance.
"But something has come over him and he was throwing up before Fulham, so we will have to see how he is."
