Striker would be interested in a loan move for next season

Nurnberg and Hamburg are being linked with out-of-favour Bayern Munich striker Nils Petersen. The former Energie Cottbus hit-man has failed to regularly feature in the first team of the Bundesliga giants following a move to Allianz Arena at the start of this season. And while Petersen, who has scored two goals in eight Bundesliga appearances, does not want to be seen to be giving up at Bayern, the 23-year-old would be interested in a loan. He told Kicker: "I am aware I need to play regular first-team football at some point of my career. "It is a fact I do not want to run away easily from Bayern Munich. I am to carefully weigh up my situation and my future. "I might be looking for a loan move. That could be an option for next season." Petersen was top scorer in the Bundesliga 2 in 2010/2011 with Cottbus before he joined Bayern on a contract until June 2014.
